Rose and Sweet Pea Show Report

The Society held their annual Rose and Sweet Pea Show in the Parish Hall on the 5th July.
There was a good attendance with many entries in the rose and sweet pea sections.
There was also a good display of flower arrangements, house plants and vegetables.
The judges were impressed with the displays.

Alan Ford won the Cup for his impressive display of sweet peas, and Marlene Walker was the cup winner for the most points in the show.

There were special prizes as follows;-
Alan Ford Sweet Peas.
Claude Buttle in the rose section.
Jan Aplin for her floral art display.
Keith Atkinson for his magnificent geranium display.

The judges were very helpful explaining their decisions and gave very useful tips
on how to display exhibits.
Two Club members exhibited at the Kent County Show, Peter Aplin won 10 prizes with his vegetable entries and Alan Ford 5 prizes with his sweet pea entries, congratulations to them.
